    A Great day!

Thanks so much! We really loved our day out with you. We learned so much & had a great time -

    Walking Fun!

Can honestly say it was a pleasure to go over there today, and introduced to Galway's living bog tracks and trails boardwalk. Maria our guide full of knowledge about our bogs and like us are passionate about our bogs and forests trails and preserving them it's very informative and it's an 9k walk looped around the bogs, and back to the centre where Maura the manager is welcoming and provided us with tea and coffee and biscuits well worth a visit it's only €5 per person to spend 3hrs with passionate people,it's only 30 minutes from Athlone and the tour/walk starts at 11 every Wednesday. So if you are a walking group,or anyone that has an interest in the outdoors and what grows in our bogs, then get over to Galway living bogs. Paddy's rambler's. Highly recommend.

    Inspiring Change

A student expressed, 'I never knew how important bogs were for our planet. Now I want to tell everyone about it and help save them!'

Explore the Wonders of Galway's Living Bog where Galway's Living Bog classes offer a unique and immersive educational experience for schoolchildren.

These classes are designed to introduce young learners to the rich biodiversity and ecological importance of Ireland's boglands. Through hands-on activities and interactive lessons, students explore the fascinating flora and fauna that make bogs their home, while also learning about the crucial role these ecosystems play in carbon storage and climate regulation.

By fostering a deep appreciation and understanding of boglands, Bog School aims to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards, empowering them to protect and preserve these vital natural resources for the future.
